The Iroquois surivived by
hunting. When the prety moved, they often moved as well. In addition to hunting, they also
farmed. When Europenas arrived, many died from diseases, as they did on the harsh life of
a reservation. Today they survive as we do, haveing a job, buying food from supermarjkets, etc. Men were supposed to be the brave, going out to war, hunting deer and protecting their members of their family. Women were supposed to do household jobs, such as taking care of children, making some crafts and preparing food. Children were often trained to do minor tasks.
